Leaders from these companies have trained with Russo Leadership, building skills in clarity, presence, and team performance.

Managers are the #1 driver of retention, engagement, and performance.

But most first-time managers are thrown into the role without structured training.

The result?

  • Inconsistent feedback → employee relations cases.

  • Weak delegation → burnout and turnover.

  • Poor development → stalled promotability and costly external hires.

Management Excellence™ fixes that. In just 6 weeks, managers gain the core systems and confidence to lead effectively.

How it works?

Weekly Live Sessions

Six live, interactive training sessions (plus a Conflict Capstone) where managers practice real scenarios, get feedback, and apply tools immediately.

On-Demand Replays + Additional Learning

Every session is recorded and available inside the LEAD Academy portal, along with pre-reads, video lessons, transcripts, action plans, and knowledge checks.

Everything DiSC® Management Integration

Each manager completes the DiSC® Management assessment and gets access to Catalyst™ — a digital platform that reinforces learning and allows them to explore their style and their team’s styles anytime.

Plug-and-Play Action Plans

Managers leave every module with simple, practical templates and playbooks they can put into action right away — no guesswork required.

When your managers join Management Excellence™, they don’t just get a training, they get a system that supports them for the long haul.

The Learning Modules

Led by a certified DiSC facilitator.

Module 1: Your Management Style (DiSC®)

Every manager brings default tendencies — strengths, blind spots, and habits. Left unchecked, these create inconsistent team experiences.

👉 In this session, managers discover their DiSC® Management style, learn how it impacts their team, and practice flexing intentionally.

Outcome: Managers lead with self-awareness and consistency, instead of relying on guesswork or habit.

Module 2: Communication & Feedback

Performance breaks down when managers avoid hard conversations or deliver feedback poorly.

👉 This session provides proven frameworks (SBI, coaching feedback) and live practice for feedback conversations.

Outcome: Issues get addressed early, trust builds, and HR escalations decrease.

Module 3: Directing & Delegating

Many managers bounce between micromanaging and being too hands-off.

👉 Here they learn to match their approach (direct, coach, support, delegate) to employee readiness and set clear expectations.

Outcome: Teams grow capacity and managers free themselves from the weeds — without burning out.

Module 4: Motivation & Retention

Retention is won or lost at the manager level. Quiet disengagement often goes unnoticed until it’s too late.

👉 This session equips managers to recognize motivators and early disengagement signals, then tie those insights to goals and development.

Outcome: Stronger morale, fewer quiet quitters, and reduced turnover.

Module 5: Developing Talent

Organizations stall when managers only assign tasks instead of building talent.

👉 In this module, managers learn how to hold growth conversations, use stretch assignments, and give feedback that builds capability.

Outcome: A reliable pipeline of promotable leaders, ready for the next level.

Module 6: Managing Up & Across

Managers don’t just lead down, they must influence peers and senior leaders. Without skill, they escalate instead of aligning.

👉 This session teaches managers how to adapt their style to influence up and across, advocate for priorities, and build trust.

Outcome: Managers create alignment, reduce swirl, and earn credibility across the org.

Capstone: Conflict Management (3-Hour Masterclass)

Unresolved conflict drains teams and escalates quickly.

👉 This live capstone dives into the DiSC® Productive Conflict model, helping managers spot destructive patterns, reframe responses, and practice scenarios.

Outcome: Managers resolve tension early and credibly, turning conflict into collaboration.
